Lucknow: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)'s batting has been the most talked about topic in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. A similar scene was seen during the match played against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Hyderabad achieved the target of 166 runs given by Lucknow in just 9.4 overs. After this, former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel held captain KL Rahul responsible for this defeat of Lucknow.

Actually, while chasing the target, Hyderabad had scored 107 runs in the powerplay itself without losing any wicket and the match was out of the hands of Lucknow from here itself. On the other hand, LSG batted very slowly in the first 6 overs and scored only 27 runs. However, in the end, due to the brilliant batting of Nicholas Puran and Ayush Badoni, the team captained by KL Rahul reached a respectable score of 165 runs. Parthiv has given a big statement during a conversation on Jio Cinema on Lucknow's approach in the powerplay.

He said, “The way KL Rahul and Lucknow batted in the first 6 overs, they lost the match there itself. Lucknow had lost the match there due to slow batting. He scored 27 runs in the first 6 overs and from here the course of the match changed. If you do not show any intent in the match and do not force the bowler to change his length, then similar results will emerge. He needed to play better in front of the new ball. Hyderabad had entered the field with that intention and the result is in front of all of us.”

Let us tell you that Lucknow had a very slow start and captain Rahul was struggling while batting. KL was responsible for such a start for the team as he scored 29 runs in 33 balls. Because of them, Lucknow could not score well in the first 6 overs and Patel has targeted LSG on this matter.

If we talk about Hyderabad's batting, the team captained by KL Rahul had given them a target of 166 runs. They achieved this in just 9.4 overs due to the brilliant batting of openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Facing 30 balls, Head played an unbeaten inning of 89 runs with the help of 8 fours and 8 sixes. Apart from him, Abhishek also scored 75 runs on 28 balls. During this period, 8 fours and 6 sixes came from his bat. Due to the explosive batting of these two, Hyderabad achieved this target in less than 10 overs.
