Lucknow: Star batsman KL Rahul is captaining Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. This season too he has performed well with the bat. Rahul has told how he was given the tag of a test match player and then after many efforts he changed it. Let us tell you that Rahul was initially considered the best player of red ball cricket. It was said that he did not have the ability to hit sixes but this player has proved everyone wrong with his game.

Rahul has talked about how in the initial days he was tagged as a Test match player. He has highlighted that initially he felt that he did not have the ability to hit sixes. However, with the changing times, KL has made its place in all formats of cricket and has performed brilliantly. The right-handed batsman has given a big statement on this during a conversation on Star Sports.
He said, “Initially, when I hit a six while batting in a match, I was a little surprised because at that time I was not a good player in T20 or ODI. A tag was also put on me that he is a Test match player and will never be able to play ODI or T-20. Everyone said that I can play Test matches but will never be able to play ODI or T-20.”

If we look at the 32-year-old's T-20 career, he has performed brilliantly. Till now the star player has played a total of 223 T20 matches, in which he has scored 7497 runs with an average of 42.11 and strike rate of 136.13. During this period, he has scored 6 centuries and 67 half-centuries, while his best score has been 132 not out. So far, Rahul has performed well in the IPL and so far, this player has played a total of 130 matches and scored 4623 runs with an average of 45 and a strike rate of more than 134.
