The fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League in 2026 is heading for a thrilling finish, with four teams still in contention for the playoff spots.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru has already sealed its place in the final of the T20 competition, scheduled for February 5.

The final two league-stage matches will determine the remaining qualifiers for the Eliminator on February 3.

Here’s what the remaining teams have to do to book a place in the Playoff round:

Gujarat Giants

A narrow three-run win over Delhi Capitals Women has put Gujarat Giants Women in a strong position to qualify for the playoffs. Victory in its final league match against Mumbai Indians Women would secure second place.

If the Giants lose, they will need Delhi Capitals to be beaten in its final fixture. With the teams separated by a slender Net Run Rate margin, the qualification scenario could hinge on NRR should Delhi win.

Mumbai Indians

MI, too, has a clear path towards the Playoffs. A win over the Giants in its final match will take it to second place, thanks to a better NRR. A loss, however, puts the ball in DC’s court. Anything other than a Warriorz win will draw the curtains on the defending champion’s campaign. If DC and MI lose their final games, there will be a three-way tie on six points and NRR — MI has the highest among the three teams — will come into play.

Delhi Capitals

The defeat to Gujarat Giants has left Delhi Capitals in a precarious position. It must win its final league match to stay in contention for the Eliminator or rely on the Giants beating Mumbai Indians.

There is, however, one advantage. Delhi’s clash with UP Warriorz is the final game of the league stage, allowing it clarity on the Net Run Rate permutations before taking the field.

UP Warriorz

The stinging loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru leaves UP Warriorz with a mountain to climb. The team will need Mumbai Indians to suffer a heavy defeat against Gujarat Giants and must inflict a convincing win over Delhi Capitals in its final league match. For now, only mathematics is keeping it in contention. The reality, however, is far bleaker.
