Budget session begins: PM gives mantra of reform, perform and transform, shows new opportunities for youth

New Delhi . The much-awaited budget session of Parliament started from Thursday. On the first day of the session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the media in the Parliament complex, outlined the country’s development and future plans. He clarified that the government’s policy is based on Reform, Perform and Transform and Reform Express is moving rapidly in this direction. Referring to President Draupadi Murmu’s address in his address, the Prime Minister said that the expectations put forward by the President to the MPs are very important. He expressed confidence that all the MPs will take these expectations seriously and will contribute positively to the proceedings of the House. The Prime Minister said that this is a big opportunity to take the country to new heights by following the path shown by the President in the beginning of 2026.

India’s growing threat on the global stage: Emphasizing on India’s growing global credibility, the Prime Minister said that today’s confident India remains a ray of hope and a center of attraction for the world. He specifically mentioned the free trade agreement between India and the European Union. He described it as a golden opportunity for Indian youth, farmers and fishermen. The PM said that the huge market of 27 European countries has now opened up for Indian products, which is a guarantee of a bright future for the youth. Emphasis on quality and competition: The Prime Minister appealed to the country’s producers and service sector people to take full advantage of this global opportunity. He said, now that the India-EU market has opened up, we should not just sit idle. We have to enter the market with good quality goods of international standards so that our products can make their mark across the world at competitive prices.

Time for solution, not disruption. While talking about the functioning of the opposition and Parliament, the Prime Minister gave an important message. He said that today is not the time to create disruption, but to find solutions. He urged the MPs not to limit their role to criticism but to find solutions and implement them on the ground. The Prime Minister said that the government has always laid emphasis on last mile delivery i.e. providing benefits to the last mile. He stressed that his aim is not to limit the schemes to files only, but to make them reach the lives of the people is the real success. Preparation for next generation reforms: Prime Minister Modi, while indicating future plans, said that the government is moving in the direction of next generation reforms. Describing the country’s eagerness towards the budget as natural, he assured that this momentum of Reform Express is not going to stop. He also expressed gratitude to all the MPs who cooperated in this process. Overall, the Prime Minister’s address made it clear that the main focus of the government during the budget session is going to be on economic growth, global trade and major policy decisions that improve the living standards of the common man.
