Cricket Australia has unveiled the Australia squad for the multi-format home tour against India to be played in February and March.

The T20I series in the tour will be a crucial preparation for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to be played in June.

The squad features some interesting inclusions in the squad with Nicola Carey making a comeback into the white-ball setup, while 19-year-old Lucy Hamilton has been named in the test squad and is in contention to make her debut against India.

The squad features regulars like Darcie Brown, Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney, Kim Garth, Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Voll and Georgia Wareham has been part of the squad in all three formats.

Meanwhile, Phoebe Litchfield, who sustained an injury during the WPL 2026, has also been named in the squad.

On the other hand, Megan Schutt missed her spot in the ODI squad following Australia’s disappointing campaign during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup last year. However, she has been named in the T20I squad.

Speaking on the squad announcement, national selector Shawn Flegler said, “Nicola has had an impressive past couple of years in domestic cricket and has also performed well overseas in both England and India.”

“She is an experienced player, with a strong skill set, and she will get an opportunity to test those skills as we build towards the T20 World Cup,” Flegler said.

“Lucy is an exciting left-arm fast bowler who offers something different with the ball. She has worked hard on her game over the past few years and is someone we believe has a big future, while also benefiting from being around the group at this level.”

The Squad announcement came along with Sophie Molineux named as captain across all three formats.

The tour begins with the T20I series, and the first match will be played on February 15 at SCG, Moore Park.
