SL vs ENG 3rd ODI Playing 11: Charith Asalanka-led Sri Lanka will square off against Harry Brook-led England in the 3rd ODI match on June 27 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Both Sri Lanka and England have secured one victory each, and the result of the upcoming game will determine the series winner.

Following the ODI series, both sides will lock horns in the T20I series of the England tour of Sri Lanka 2026.

The upcoming series will serve as preparation for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 to be played in India and Sri Lanka.

Pramod Madushan has been out of the Today Sri Lanka Cricket Team Players List, with Wanindu Hasaranga returning to the lineup, while England goes unchanged from the previous game.

England won the toss and opted to bat. Speaking at the toss, England captain Harry Brook said, “We will bat first. We think it is going to be a nice pitch. We have to adapt ourselves and put up a good score on the board. A nice pitch means runs and boundaries everywhere.

“Same team for us. The idea for the spinners will be to attack the stumps. The batters should be able to adapt to the conditions. It is not easy out there with the bat. Not easy to find the gap and score runs. You can just try to be a little bit funky and manoeuvre the field,” concluded Harry Brook.

Meanwhile, Charith Asalanka said, “We would have batted first as well. But it is part of the game. Yes, more spin today. Hasaranga comes in place of Madushan. We were slightly below par with bat and ball the other day. It is in the past, and now on a fresh day, we would like to be better.”

Jos Buttler is making his 400th international appearance for England and will be the second player to do so after James Anderson.
