The opener Muhammad Waseem will be leading the UAE squad for the upcoming two-match T20I series against Ireland at Dubai.
Several mainstays like Waseem, Basil Hameed and Junaid Siddique will bolster the squad with their experience, along with recent performers like Rahul Chopra, Simranjeet Singh, Harshit Kaushik and Muhammad Jawadullah.
However, they are yet to announce their Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad as the deadline to finalise the team will be January 30.
On the other hand, Cricket Ireland has announced a Paul Stirling-led squad for the two-match T20I series against the United Arab Emirates.
The series not only provides intense competition between the two sides but also helps Ireland fine-tune their squad and strategies before heading into the global tournament in India and Sri Lanka.
Placed in Group D, the United Arab Emirates will be playing their Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 group stage games against Canada, Afghanistan and South Africa.
They then travel to Delhi to play Canada (13 February), Afghanistan (February 16) and South Africa (February 18).
Ahead of the marquee event, the side will take on Nepal and Italy in official warm-up action on February 03 and 06 respectively.
UAE were the last team to qualify for the T20 World Cup, after claiming the spot through Asia & East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers, which concluded in October 2025.
The first match of the T20I series will be played on January 29, while the second game will be played on January 31. Both games will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
