Delhi: ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is going to start from 7th February. Just before this, England’s experienced all-rounder Moeen Ali has reversed his retirement plans, and he will become active in domestic cricket and be a part of the Yorkshire team. Ali has signed a deal with Yorkshire, under which he can play in T20 Blast till 2027.
After joining the Yorkshire club, Ali said that he is very happy to be a part of the team. He praised the glorious history of the club and the talented players present in the team and said that it would be an exciting experience for them.
Yorkshire has not won the T20 Blast title yet. Last year, this team stood eighth out of 9 in the North Group.
Moeen Ali has not yet retired from IPL. He represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2018, 2019 and 2020. From 2021 to 2024, he remained in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team and during this period won the IPL trophy twice (2021 and 2023).
After this, he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in 2025, but the team did not retain him for 2026.
At the international level, Moeen Ali scored 1229 runs and took 51 wickets in 92 T20 matches for England. In his total T20 career, he has played 420 matches and scored 7792 runs and also taken 271 wickets.
