Delhi: In the 56th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, the way Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson was out against Delhi Capitals (DC), it created an uproar. He was out on the fourth ball of the 16th over of the innings, when he played a big shot towards long on on a ball from fast bowler Mukesh Kumar. During this, Shai Hope caught the ball brilliantly, but it is being argued that his foot had touched the boundary line at that time.
Team India's former explosive opener Navjot Singh Sidhu has given his reaction on this. Sidhu said that the direction of the match changed due to Sanju's dismissal. He commented that this was not the case; from the side-on angle, the fielder noted that it was very clear that the shoes had hit the boundary line twice. He believes that if the technology is wrong, then there is no need to implement it.

Sidhu commented that there is no need to rely on technology when even in the replays it is clear before our eyes that the fielder has touched the boundary line. Sidhu also remembered the occasion when Virat Kohli was out on a no ball against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It is known that Kohli was out in that match after playing the ball that came above his waist.
Samson fined 30 percent of match fee
In this match, Delhi defeated Rajasthan by 20 runs. After this, Rajasthan captain Samson has been fined 30% of the match fee for inappropriate behavior towards the umpires. After being dismissed controversially, he lost his temper and argued with the umpire.
According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), “Samson has committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He confessed to the crime and accepted the sanction of the match referee. “For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding.” Samson played a brilliant inning of 86 runs in 46 balls, which included 6 fours and 8 sixes.
