Many days, weeks and months passed but finally at the right time, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav seems to be returning to his form. In the second T20 match against New Zealand, Suryakumar played an explosive innings and took Team India to victory by scoring 82 runs. This was the Indian captain's first half-century in the last 15 months. Team India, its fans and captain Surya himself heaved a sigh of relief from this innings. The captain not only made everyone happy with his batting but what he did after that won everyone's heart. After the end of the match, the Indian captain touched the feet of Team India's throw-down specialist Raghu.
In the second T20 match played in Raipur, Team India had got a big target of 209 runs. In response, India lost the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson for just 6 runs. But despite this, Team India made a strong comeback with the help of Ishan Kishan's explosive half-century, after which captain Suryakumar Yadav put the finishing touch by playing a blazing inning of 82 runs in just 37 balls.
This was the first half-century of the Indian captain in the last 15 months. Earlier, he had scored a fifty against Bangladesh in October 2024 but since then he was continuously failing and questions were being raised on him. Despite this, Surya continued to practice. In this exercise, while he must have got full support from other coaches including Gautam Gambhir, the person who would have helped him the most in such a time is throw-down specialist Raghu.

In such a situation, after the end of the match, while Suryakumar shook hands and hugged Guru Gambhir and other players, on seeing Raghu, the Indian captain was the first to touch his feet. Raghu was also surprised to see this and immediately he picked up Suryakumar. Then both of them hugged. Just a few weeks ago, Tilak Verma had also done a similar thing, when he touched Raghu's feet after Team India won.
Actually, Raghu and his colleagues make all the batsmen practice through throw-downs in the nets. He is so expert in his work that many times he creates problems for the batsmen, which helps the batsmen to prepare for the match. Even though he himself did not play cricket at international or domestic level, he has been preparing well the Indian batsmen who have made waves across the world. This is the reason why he has been a part of Team India for more than 10 years. Star batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have often praised Raghu and his fellow throw-down specialists in front of the media.
