Suryakumar Yadav Half Century: The second match of the five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand brought relief news for Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar's previous T20 International half-century came against Bangladesh in Hyderabad on 12 October 2024, where he scored 75 runs in 35 balls. After this, his performance in 2025 was quite disappointing. In the entire year, he scored only 218 runs in 21 matches, the average was also only 13.62. Many questions were being raised due to this poor form, but in Raipur he scored a lot of runs against New Zealand.

Suryakumar Yadav has now equaled Abhishek Sharma in terms of scoring a half-century in 25 or less balls in T20 International cricket. For the 8th time, Surya has completed a half-century in T20 International cricket in 25 or less balls, which is equal to Abhishek's world record.
