Tanzid Hasan's brilliant performance guided Rajshahi Warriors to clinch their maiden Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title with a comfortable 63-run win over Chattogram Royals in the final at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, on January 23. His innings of 100 off 62 balls, featuring six fours and seven sixes, powered Rajshahi to 174 for 4. Mukidul Islam (2/20) and Shoriful Islam (2/33) were the standout bowlers for Chattogram.Chasing 175, Chattogram’s innings never looked in the hunt.
Binura Fernando removed Mohammad Naim and Mahmudul Hasan Joy in the same over to leave the Royals reeling. Hasan Murad then dismissed Hasan Nawaz, captain Mahedi Hasan, and Mirza Baig, who top-scored with 39.Fernando returned to dismantle the lower middle order, finishing with figures of 4 for 9, while Murad claimed 3 for 15.
