Arshdeep Singh Expensive 1st Over: The second match of the five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand is being played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. In this match, Team India won the toss and decided to bowl first, but this match proved to be difficult for Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh from the beginning. New Zealand's opening batsman Devon Conway scored a lot of runs in the first over of Arshdeep, due to which his name got added to an unwanted record.

Shameful record in the name of Arshdeep Singh

At the beginning of the match, captain Suryakumar Yadav handed the new ball to Arshdeep Singh. But he gave away 18 runs in the very first over. Devon Conway thrashed Arshdeep badly by hitting three fours and a six. A misfield was also seen in this over, due to which Arshdeep's over proved to be very expensive. With this, Arshdeep Singh's name got included in the list of bowlers who gave the most runs in the first over for India in a T20I match.

This over of Arshdeep Singh is jointly the most expensive over.

He has reached number one in this list along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also gave 18 runs in the first over against Ireland in the year 2022. Ravichandran Ashwin is at second place in this list with overs of 17 runs. Mohammed Shami has also given 17-17 runs twice in the first over of the T20I match.

Runs were wasted in the second over also

Arshdeep's poor performance did not stop here. Captain Suryakumar Yadav gave him the second over in the powerplay itself, but here too the New Zealand batsmen adopted an aggressive stance. Tim Seifert increased the pressure on Arshdeep by hitting four consecutive fours in this over also.

In this way, a total of 36 runs were lost in his first two overs. This proved to be an early blow to the Indian bowling, as New Zealand got off to a fast start in the powerplay. Usually Arshdeep is known for taking wickets in the initial overs, but in this match he did not seem to be in rhythm.
