UP Warriorz falter after Meg Lanning and Phoebe Litchfield’s dismissals, post 187/against Mumbai Indians

UP Warriorz were looking set to past 200 runs when captain Meg Lanning and Phoebe Litchfield were blazing all guns, but their dismissals restricted the franchise to 187/8 against the Mumbai Indians in match 10 of the Women’s Premier League 2026.

UP lost Kiran Navgire on a score of 5 runs on the fourth delivery of the first over, bowled by Nicola Carey. However, it didn’t impact the Warriorz as Lanning and Litchfield added 119 runs for the second wicket.

Meg amassed 70 runs off 45 balls, laced with 11 fours and 2 sixes. Phoebe managed 61 runs off 37 balls, packed with 7 fours and 3 sixes. The two were dismissed in a span of 6 balls, with Hayley Matthews and Amanjot Kaur getting the prized scalps.

Harleen Deol and Chloe Tryon hit a few fours and sixes, but even they couldn’t continue. Harleen scored 25 runs off 16 deliveries, including 2 boundaries and 1 maximum.

On the other hand, Tryon was sent back after scoring 21 runs off 13 deliveries, packed with 1 boundary and 1 maximum.

Shweta Sehrawat (0), Sophie Ecclestone (1) and Deepti Sharma (0) were ordinary with the bat.
