CSK batter Daryl Mitchell, recently showed kindness with a thoughtful gesture in one of CSK’s practise sessions. Prior to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) game, Mitchell was practicing at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala when his strong pull shot unintentionally struck a fan’s iPhone.
But as soon as Mitchell realised what had happened, he apologised to the fan. His blast not only broke the phone, but it also appeared to hurt the fan, who collapsed onto the seat and grabbing his hand.
He went up to the fan personally and gave him a pair of his autographed batting gloves. This thoughtful gesture served to lift the spirits and save the fan’s potentially miserable experience.
Mitchell is delighted with his time with the defending champions and recently mentioned how much he enjoys the challenge of adaptability in his current position with the Super Kings.
“Playing international cricket at a later age has been a blessing for me because it has given me the opportunity to develop as a player on the pitch as well as off the pitch. I was able to learn my craft for a while at the domestic level. And to be able to accomplish that, in my opinion, is still another true blessing,” Mitchell stated.
“I also enjoy competing. My motivation comes from putting my all into any task I have to complete in order to help our cricket team win. Here at CSK, our role at 4 or 5 is to manage the middle overs and put ourselves in a position where the big boys can try to fire in the end. I am having a great time performing various tasks for the team,” he continued.
Daryll Mitchell would be in action as CSK take on GT on 10th May.
