A run Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, owned and operated by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), will host the second phase of the second edition of the Women's Premier League - WPL 2024, starting from Tuesday (March 5).
The Arun Jaitley Stadium, formerly known as Feroz Shah Kotla, which has served as home venue to Delhi, the Indian cricket team and since 2008, when Indian Premier League (IPL) started as a home to the Delhi-based franchise Delhi Capitals men's team.
And for the first time the venue will be home to the Delhi Capitals women's team as BCCI has announced the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as one of the venues along with M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as hosts of WPL 2024.
The first phase of WPL 2024 was hosted from February 23 to March 4 in Bengaluru, where 11 matches of the league stage were held with the home side Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz playing the majority of games.
Now, Feroz Shah Kotla will host 11 matches, including the two playoff matches, this season from March 5 to March 17 with last season's finalists playing the opener like in the Bengaluru leg. Here is a look at the Delhi Arun Jaitley Stadium information, T20 and IPL records:

Known to produce slow and low wickets, the pitches at the Kotla saw a major transformation, after the work done before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The wickets have turned into batters paradise, producing some high-scoring contests.

The day will see the temperature rising up from 23°C to 37°C during the next fortnight in Delhi, but is expected to be a little cooler in the nights with temperature reducing as low as 17°C to 20°C. There is no threat of rain on any day, but dew may be an issue.
