Hamirpur. A youth was beaten to death in Banki Road area of ​​Sumerpur town in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh. There is an atmosphere of panic and anger in the entire area due to this brutal incident. The young man’s father has directly accused the neighboring father and son of murder. On Thursday, the police detained two youths and started questioning them. The deceased was a truck driver in a private company.

Sumit, a resident of Banki Road of Sumerpur police station area, had gone to attend a party with some of his friends on Wednesday evening. It is being told that there was a dispute over some issue during the party, which soon turned into a violent clash. It is alleged that Sumit was severely beaten. Two youths hurriedly took seriously injured Sumit to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.

Police station in-charge Anup Singh said on Thursday that the case is being thoroughly investigated from every aspect. On the basis of post mortem report and inquiry, strict legal action will be taken against the culprits. This incident has once again raised serious questions regarding law and order in the town.

Last conversation before returning home

Raj Bahadur Yadav, father of the deceased, said that he had talked to his son on phone at around 8 pm on Wednesday night. Sumit had told them that he would return home soon, but after some time the news of their son’s death shocked the entire family. Raj Bahadur alleges that there was an old rivalry between his neighboring father and son and Sumit had been assaulted earlier also. He alleged that the accused were planning to kill Sumit for a long time.

Fear of being attacked by a hard object

Dr. Shashank Gauram, a doctor posted in the district hospital, said that many deep injuries were found on the head and body of the deceased. Initial investigation makes it clear that Sumit was attacked with some hard and heavy object. However, the exact cause of death can be confirmed only after the post mortem report comes.

Blood stained tools recovered

As soon as information about the incident was received, Sumerpur police station reached the spot and started investigation. Police have detained two youths. A blood-stained iron tool for opening the tire of a truck has also been recovered from the spot, which is believed to be the weapon used in the murder. At present, the police is trying to find out whether the murder was committed by the people present during the party or whether the allegations made by the father of the deceased are true.

A mountain of sorrow fell on the family

Sumit was the youngest of two brothers and two sisters. His elder sister is married, while the marriage of the other sister is scheduled for 25th February. This painful incident has turned the happiness of marriage into mourning. Sumit’s elder brother Ankit works at a grocery shop. Father Raj Bahadur Yadav works as a laborer in Unilever Company, while Sumit himself was working as a truck driver in Unilever Company.
