WPL 2026 Mumbai Indians vs UP Warriors: In the 8th match of the Women's Premier League (WPL), UP Warriors opened the winning account by defeating Mumbai Indians. In this match played at Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, UP Warriors won by 7 wickets, the biggest reason for which was a stormy inning by Indian batsman Harleen Deol. In the last match, Harleen Deol had to be retired due to poor strike rate. The team management had called him back. But in this match he remained unbeaten and led the team to victory.
After winning the toss, UP Warriors chose to bowl first and restricted Mumbai Indians to 161 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. During this, Nate Siver-Brunt played a brilliant inning of 65 runs in 43 balls. While opening, Amanjot Kaur scored 38 runs. Nicola Carey also contributed 32 unbeaten runs. But in this match he gave a befitting reply.
Apart from Harleen Deol, Chloe Tryon also played an amazing inning and led the team to victory by scoring unbeaten 27 runs on 11 balls. Phoebe Lichfield also managed to contribute 25 runs.
