Delhi: Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 started on 24 December. After about three weeks, now the four semi-final teams of the tournament have been decided. Karnataka, Saurashtra, Vidarbha and Punjab have performed brilliantly and made it to the last four.

Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-final teams decided

On January 12, Karnataka and Saurashtra entered the semi-finals by winning their quarter-final matches. After this, Vidarbha and Punjab also secured their ticket to the next round by winning their matches.

Now the semi-final matches have also been decided. Karnataka will face Vidarbha in the first semi-final. The teams of Saurashtra and Punjab will face each other in the second semi-final. Both the matches will be played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground 1, Bengaluru.

Great victory of Punjab

In the third quarter-final, Punjab defeated Madhya Pradesh by a big margin. Batting first, Punjab scored 345 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. The team had a very strong start. Opener Harnoor Singh and captain Prabhasimran added 116 runs for the first wicket. Harnoor scored 51 and Prabhasimran scored 88 runs. Apart from this, Anmolpreet Singh played an inning of 70 runs and Nehal Vadhera played an inning of 56 runs.

While chasing the target, Madhya Pradesh team came under pressure and was all out for 162 runs in 31.2 overs. Sanveer Singh took 3 wickets for Punjab. Gurnoor Brar, Krish Bhagat and Ramandeep Singh got 2-2 wickets. Mayank Markande also took one wicket.

Vidarbha ousted Delhi

In the fourth quarter-final, Vidarbha defeated Delhi and made it to the semi-finals. Batting first, Vidarbha scored 300 runs. Yash Rathore and Atharva Tayde played important innings for the team. In reply, Delhi team was reduced to 224 runs in 45.1 overs. Nachiket Bhute took 4 wickets for Vidarbha. Captain Harsh Dubey dismissed 3 players.
