DC vs RR Probable Playing 11: Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals is scheduled to play in the 55th match of the IPL 2024 schedule against Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals on May 07 at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
DC vs RR Probable Playing 11: Delhi Capitals are set to host Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday clash after securing 5 victories out of 11 matches they played this season so far. After securing a victory against Gujarat Titans in their previous match of the season, Delhi is looking forward to a victory to stay alive in the Playoff competition.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals is only one step ahead of securing a spot in the playoffs. They secured 8 victories out of 10 matches they played in this tournament so far.
“We know that we are coming up against a very good Rajasthan side, but we know if we play our best cricket, as we have seen in the tournament so far if we can play our best cricket for 40 overs, then I’ll guarantee we’ll be hard to beat. It doesn’t matter who we play or where we play them, we know we can beat anybody,” said DC head coach Ricky Ponting.
“When you take over the captain’s role, there’s a lot that comes with it… what Sanju (Samson) has learned from the last couple of years is managing all that, managing his time managing his energy, leaning on the senior players in the group.”
“And by balancing all that it’s got the best out of him… It’s been exciting for us as a team to see him get a World Cup selection. We’re all delighted for him. He’s playing beautifully and then hopefully he can just keep leading us through the back end of this tournament,” said RR Pacer bowling coach Shane Bond.
Currently, Delhi Capitals has secured the 6th position while Rajasthan Royals secured the 2nd position in the IPL 2024 points table.
