Andre Russell and Suryakumar Yadav are the two best power-hitters in world cricket. Russell and SKY are playing in the Indian Premier League 2024. While Andre has been magnificent for Kolkata Knight Riders, Yadav is making his performance count for Mumbai Indians in the 17th season.
Suryakumar missed a few games for the five-time champions after failing to regain full fitness after back-to-back surgeries. He was not given a fitness certificate by the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The star batter had to go through second round of tests to get permission from the medical staff of the NCA.
Harbhajan Singh compared Andre Russell with Suryakumar Yadav. The veteran revealed why SKY is a better batter than Russell.
“Andre Russell plays risky shots but Suryakumar Yadav plays risk free cricket. His strokes are like butter and he pierce the field like a knife goes through butter,” Harbhajan Singh said on Star Sports.
Despite Surya’s phenomenal display with the bat, Mumbai have struggled in the season. They are out of the playoff race after losing eight matches.
