Tilak Verma Surgery: Team India is in trouble regarding the T20 series against New Zealand and the subsequent T20 World Cup. Team India is facing this problem due to the sudden surgery of its star batsman Tilak Verma. Tilak Verma got injured during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match, after which the player, who was captaining Hyderabad in the tournament, had to undergo surgery immediately.
Why did Tilak Verma undergo operation?
Tilak Verma had testicular pain during the match played against Bengal in Vijay Hazare Trophy, after which he was immediately taken to the hospital, where the scan revealed testicular torsion, due to which he had to be operated.

Team India has to play a T20 series against New Zealand this month and then enter the mega cricket match of the T20 World Cup from 7th February. Tilak Verma is not only a part of Team India in both these events but is also a strong pillar of its playing eleven.
But, after the current surgery, there is now suspense over Tilak Verma's play. This is suspense because till now nothing has been officially revealed regarding his return to the field. However, it is believed that he may stay out for 3 to 4 weeks.
