The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will stat with the league stage of the tournament, which is scheduled to run from 22 March 2024 to the third week of May. Like in the previous two editions, ten teams will battle in double round-robin home and away format in the league stage with the top four teams heading into the playoffs - Eliminator, two Qualifiers and the Final.   Due to the elections in the country, a two-week schedule was announced last month. During the two-week period, 21 matches will be played across 10 cities, with each team playing a minimum of three matches and a maximum of five. A total of 74 matches will be played across several venues with the remainder of the schedule, including the Eliminator, Qualifier and finals, to be announced in the coming days. All the ten teams had finalized their squads during the IPL Auction 2024 in December 2023, but some were hit by injury and withdrawals.
