NEW DELHI: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his jaw-dropping run with a breathtaking century while Aaron George also registered a superb hundred as India U-19 hammered South Africa by 233 runs in the third Youth ODI to complete a clean sweep of the three-match series on Wednesday.

Asked to bat first, skipper Sooryavanshi, who had blasted a 24-ball 68 in the previous match, once again went on a six-hitting rampage. The young opener smashed 10 sixes and nine fours in a fluent 74-ball 127.

The 14-year-old from Bihar received solid support from George, who scored a composed 118 off 106 deliveries, as the pair stitched together a commanding 227-run opening stand to set the tone for a massive total.

India went on to post a towering 393 for 7, a target that proved far too steep for South Africa, who were dismissed for 160 in 35 overs.

For the hosts, Ntando Soni (3/61) and Jason Rowles (2/59) were the pick of the bowlers, sharing five wickets between them at Willowmoore Park.

In reply, South Africa suffered an early collapse, slipping to 15 for 3 within the first four overs as Kishan Singh tore through the top order, removing Jorich van Schalkwyk (1), Adnaan Lagadien (9) and Lethabo Pahlamohlaka (0).

The 19-year-old Singh, who had claimed four wickets in the second ODI, once again stood out with the ball.

Daniel Bosman (40) and Rowles (19) attempted to steady the innings briefly, but South Africa slid to 99 for 6 in the 23rd over. Paul James (41) and Corne Botha (36 not out) only managed to delay the inevitable.

Earlier, Sooryavanshi once again stole the show with his explosive strokeplay, registering his third century in Youth ODIs. He has also notched up four fifties in 18 matches so far. The teenage sensation now has 973 runs from 18 games at an impressive average of 54.05 and a strike rate of 164.08.

India had clinched the opening match by 25 runs via the DLS method and followed it up with an eight-wicket win in the second ODI.
