Jacob Bethell Century: On the fourth day of the Sydney Test against Australia, England batsman Jacob Bethel scored a brilliant and unmatched century in the second innings. The England batsman scored this century when during this innings he fell on the field after being hit by the ball on his helmet.

The ball on Jacob Bethel's helmet hit the temple portion of his head. This happened in the 15th over during the second innings. For Australia, he was bowling over Cameron Green. The 5th ball of that over hit Bethel on his helmet, after which he immediately fell on the field. The speed of Green's ball that hit Bethel's helmet was 140.5 kilometers per hour.

Scored a century after being hit by the ball

Jacob Bethel did fall on the field after being hit by the ball on his helmet, but that did not break his courage. He got up and started batting again. Meanwhile, the good thing for Jacob Bethel was that there was a lunch break on the fourth day of the Sydney Test. This gave him a chance to recover from the impact of that ball. When he came out to play after lunch, he did something which he had not done before in his Test career. He scored his first hundred.
