Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), taking a big decision before IPL 2026, has released Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman on the instructions of BCCI. Since then, discussions regarding the possible replacement of the franchise have intensified. At present, the name of South African fast bowler Duan Jansen is at the forefront.
Duane Jansen is known for his speed of over 140 kilometers per hour, bounce and aggressive line-length. Apart from this, he also has the ability to bat usefully in the lower order, due to which he can prove to be a fast bowling all-rounder for KKR. His pace and all-round skills can provide added balance to the team in a high-pressure tournament like the IPL. However, at present no official announcement has been made by KKR regarding any player.
Apart from South Africa’s star all-rounder Duane Jansen, KKR is also eyeing other experienced foreign fast bowlers. Which includes names like Fazalhaq Farooqui of Afghanistan, Jason Behrendorff of Australia and Spencer Johnson. All these bowlers have proven to be effective with the new ball and death overs with speeds of 140+ kmph.
