Some banned drugs were found in his sample in the dope test. These include steroids like drostanolone and methenolone. Apart from this, clomiphene has also been found. This drug is commonly used to treat infertility in women, but is also taken to increase testosterone in men.

Rajan Kumar played his last match on 8 December 2025. This match was of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy between Uttarakhand and Delhi which was played in Ahmedabad.

Some players have failed before also

Very few cases of doping have come to light in Indian cricket. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Anshula Rao was caught in a doping case in 2020. At the same time, Prithvi Shaw had failed the dope test in 2019.

The name of football player Nongmaithem Ratanbala Devi is also included in this list. A steroid named metandienone has been found in his sample. Apart from this, Gaurav Patel has also been temporarily suspended from Athletics, Khushboo Kumari from Weightlifting, Achalveer Karvasara from Boxing and Siddhant Sharma from Polo.

Strict action has also been taken against Tamil Nadu runner Dhanalakshmi Sekar. He has broken doping rules for the second time. After this, an eight-year ban has been imposed on him, which will come into effect from September 9, 2025. Earlier, she had faced a three-year ban in the doping case of 2022 and had made a comeback in 2025.
