Prayagraj. In Lokapur Visauna village of Mauaima police station area located in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, a son killed his father, sister and niece and hid the dead bodies in a well. The police recovered all three bodies on Monday at the behest of the accused. The police team has recovered the ax used in the murder and a pistol and cartridges. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police Ganganagar Kuldeep Singh Gunawat on Monday evening.

He told that the accused arrested in the murder case is Mukesh son of Ram Singh Patel, resident of Lokapur Visauna village of Mauaima police station area. In this regard, on January 4, Mukund Patel, brother of the accused, had filed a missing complaint at Mauaima police station that his father Ram Singh (60), his younger sister Sadhna (24) and 14-year-old niece Aastha (daughter of elder sister Kiran) were missing since the night of January 2. It was suspected that his brother Mukesh was behind this incident. When the police team arrested the accused Mukesh Patel on Monday and interrogated him strictly, the incident came to light that there was a dispute between the father and brother regarding the family property. Mukesh was asking for only ten vishwas of land, which his father refused to give.

Enraged by this, Mukesh tried to kill his sleeping father Ram Singh by strangulating him on the night of January 2. During this, his sister and niece Aastha saw this and protested. During this time, Mukesh found an ax kept in the house and killed his sister, niece and father by cutting them with the axe. All three threw the dead bodies in a well located near the house, covered them with straw to hide them and ran away. When there was no trace of the father, sister and niece missing from home, the accused’s brother Mukund filed a missing case on January 4. The police team of Mauaima police station recovered the bodies of deceased Ram Singh, his daughter and granddaughter from the well late in the evening and sent them for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama.
