Former Indian cricket team star Shikhar Dhawan is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Sophie Shine in February, according to Hindustan Times. The celebrations will start in the third week of February, with cricketers and Bollywood stars expected to attend the ceremony. The preparations for the wedding have started.

“It is a new start, and they are treating it with happiness and gratitude,” a source said. Dhawan is involved in planning the ceremony.

Dhawan is dating Shine, an Irish national, and the couple was spotted in the stands during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. They met in Dubai a few years ago and have been living together for over a year. Dhawan’s previous marriage to Ayesha Mukherjee ended in 2023. They have an 11-year-old Zoravar Dhawan.

Meanwhile, Dhawan recently praised Virat Kohli for his hunger and clarity about his game. “Kohli is hungry for runs. He played under my captaincy in the Ranji Trophy, and he was clear about his game as a 16-17-year-old. He batted on the day of his father’s demise, which showed his character. His discipline and intensity grew from that day,” Dhawan said on Backstage with Boria, to Boria Majumdar.

Dhawan played 167 ODIs for India, scoring 6793 runs at an average of 44.11 and a strike rate of 91.35. He hit 17 hundreds and 39 fifties.

In 34 Tests, he accumulated 2315 runs at an average of 40.61, including 7 tons and 5 fifties. The southpaw competed in 68 T20Is, managing 1759 runs at an average of 27.92 and a strike rate of 126.36. He smashed 11 half-centuries.
