Royal Challengers Bengaluru legendary player Virat Kohli reclaimed the Orange Cap on Friday. Kohli overtook CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad with a blistering 42 off 27 balls to take the lead with 542 runs in 11 matches. Before being outwitted by young GT spinner Noor Ahmad in the 11th over, Kohli blasted two fours and four sixes.

After the game, Kohli offered the Afghanistan youth his autographed match-worn jersey as a token of appreciation. Noor shared the picture on his Instagram story.
Returning to the game, GT lost three wickets for 19 runs in the first six overs. However, Shahrukh Khan (37) and David Miller (30) combined for a stand of 61 runs. With Rashid Khan at the other end, Rahul Tewatia stitched a crucial partnership of 35 runs off of 21 balls as GT posted 147.
After dismissing the first two GT batsmen, Mohammed Siraj finished with match figures of 2-29. He was named the Player of the Match. However, the pace bowler claimed he was “sick since last night” and almost missed the match.
Faf du Plessis and Kohli set the tone, as the target was reached with 6.2 overs remaining. But the RCB did falter in the middle of their innings with 117/6 at one point. Dinesh Karthik (21), and Swapnil Singh (15) ensured that the chase was completed.
