England fast bowler Chris Jordan named MS Dhoni as the best IPL (Indian Premier League) captain of all time during an exclusive interview with CricTracker. The 37-year-old had the privilege of playing under Dhoni's leadership during his time at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the 2022 edition of the IPL.

Dhoni is the only Indian captain to win three ICC titles (T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy). In the IPL, he is the joint-most successful captain alongside Rohit Sharma. The wicketkeeper-batter has led CSK to five IPL titles.

"My best captain from IPL...

I feel like a lot of cricketers' dream is to be able to play under MS at some point in their life, just because of the iconic figure that he is and stuff. So, I'd definitely have to say MS Dhoni," Jordan told CricTracker.

Jordan was also asked to mention one quality he admires in players like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli. The Barbados-born lauded Dhoni's calmness, Rohit's tactical ability and Kohli's passion.

"I definitely admire Dhoni's calmness. I admire Rohit's tactical nerves and tactical ability. And I really admire Virat's passion," Jordan said.

Chris Jordan names Indian youngsters who have impressed him the most of late

When asked to name Indian youngsters who have impressed him the most in recent times, Jordan mentioned Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. Jordan said he was particularly dazzled by the consistency with which Abhishek has taken the attack to the opposition bowlers in the shortest format.

"I'd definitely say maybe Abhishek or even Shubman.

Both of them obviously, they open the batting. But the consistency with which Abhishek can put pressure on the bowlers and get a good start for his team. I think sometimes underlooked in T20 cricket, because what those types of players do, and anyone would tell you in the dressing room, when you have an opener like that, and the way he starts more often than not, it really sends a calmness to the dressing room. And it really sets up the dressing room to get into the game, you know.
So I'd say those two players are definitely my young players right now," Jordan opined.
