Bullet Train Project: A new chapter is soon going to be added in the history of Indian Railways. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav made a big announcement about the Bullet Train project and said that the country will get the first Bullet Train on August 15, 2027. The Railway Minister has also given information about the route, stoppage, terminal, depot etc. of the Bullet Train. On the Bullet Train project, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday, “There are a total of 12 stations in this project. Sabarmati is the terminal station, while Mumbai has the BKC terminal station. 3 depots are being built. Normally only two depots are required for the 508 km route.
During this, the minister also told that during the tenure of Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra, the then government had withheld permissions and approvals for a long time, due to which three depots had to be planned. Due to this delay additional arrangements became necessary.
The Railway Minister also said that the Bullet Train will be a middle class ride in India. This will be useful for common people. Currently the Bullet Train project is going on in the western direction, soon work will start on the Bullet Train track corridor in the East, North and South direction. After the launch of Bullet Train, economic development will gain momentum. Factory and IT hub can be built.
90,000 to 1 lakh people got employment in construction. When the bullet train runs, more employment will be available. 95% carbon dioxide emissions will be saved instead of roads. There will be noise barriers on the entire corridor of 508KM, the capacity of the track is 350KMPH.
Earlier on Thursday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, while announcing the route of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, said in a humorous tone that you should buy Bullet Train tickets now, Bullet Train will also come next year. He clarified that the government is working seriously to complete the project within the stipulated time frame.
Last year in November, during his visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi also took stock of the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. For this, PM Modi had reached Surat Bullet Train Station, where he also talked to the engineers and employees engaged in the work. While addressing the press conference, the Railway Minister also said that the complete testing and certification of Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been completed. Its first route is proposed to be Guwahati-Kolkata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat sleeper train on this route in the coming days. This is a big milestone for the Railways. Vaishnav further said that the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will provide world-class amenities, safety and a modern travel experience to passengers on long distance night journeys.
