IPL 2024: The 55th match of IPL 2024 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both the teams will face each other at the Wankhede Stadium. The playoffs are almost closed for Mumbai. So, Hyderabad will be looking to get one more win and move closer to the playoffs. Mumbai have won only three out of 11 matches this season. While Hyderabad has won 6 out of 10 this season and is at the fourth position in the points table. This will be the second time the two teams meet this season.
In the eighth match of IPL 2024, a match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad took place. Hyderabad won the match by 31 runs. It was a high scoring match. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 277 runs in 20 overs. In reply, the team of Mumbai Indians reached 246 runs. In such a scenario, a high-scoring match between the two teams can be witnessed once again.
A total of 22 matches have been played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad so far in the history of IPL. Out of this, Mumbai has won 12 matches. So, Hyderabad team managed to win in 10 matches. Mumbai has taken a 5-2 lead against Hyderabad at the Wankhede ground.
Wankhede Stadium is famous for high scoring matches in limited overs cricket. However, we saw a different side of him in the last match here, where the spin bowlers of MI and KKR came to the fore. For KKR, Piyush Chawla took one wicket for 15 runs in three overs, while Sunil Narine and Varun Chakraborty took two wickets each for 22 runs in four overs.
