Andries Gous Batting: The excitement of International League T20 has now reached its final peak. The first qualifier of the current season of this league was played on December 30, in which Desert Vipers defeated Mumbai Indians Emirates and booked their ticket to the finals. In Qualifier 1, Vipers won by 45 runs. But, do you know who was the reason behind Desert Vipers' victory in Qualifier 1 and their passage to the finals? The only reason behind this was Andreas Gauss, who not only scored a stunning century but also made 2 records.

Andreas Goss created a stir, scored a stormy century

Andreas Goss is an American wicketkeeper batsman. Desert Vipers batted first in the Qualifier 1 match against Mumbai Indians Emirates. The pair of Andreas Goss and Fakhar Zaman came out to open. Together they added 157 runs for the opening wicket in 15.5 overs. Fakhar Zaman was out after scoring 69 runs but Andreas Goss stood at one end.

Andreas Goss continued his attack on the Mumbai Indians Emirates bowlers, who were looking a little light in the absence of Rashid Khan. After the start of SA20, Rashid Khan has gone there to play. Andries Goss got good support from the other end from Desert Vipers captain Sam Curran. Within no time, Goss also scored his stormy century.

Completed century in 53 balls

Andreas Goss completed his century in 53 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 6 fours. But even after this he did not stop but started playing in a more dangerous manner. Just after scoring the century, Andreas Goss added 20 more runs to his innings with 2 sixes and 1 four on the next 5 balls at a strike rate of 400.

Hit more sixes than fours, made 2 records

Andreas Goss remained unbeaten till the end after scoring 120 runs. He scored these runs in 58 balls at a strike rate of 206.89 with the help of 9 sixes and 7 fours. That means, in his innings, Goss hit less fours and more sixes. On the basis of this inning of Goss, his team Desert Vipers not only made a huge total of 233 runs for 1 wicket in 20 overs, but also made 2 records. First, he scored his first century in ILT20 and second, he made his highest score in T20 career.

MI Amreet lacked Khali Rashid and Puran, lost

Now Mumbai Indians Emirates had a mountain-like target of 234 runs. But while chasing it, it could score only 188 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Just as Mumbai Indians Emirates missed Rashid Khan in bowling in Qualifier 1 of ILT20, similarly Nicholas Pooran was also missed while batting. Like Rashid, Puran is also playing in SA20.

Desert Vipers became the first finalist

Desert Vipers defeated Mumbai Indians Emirates by 45 runs and with that became the first team to reach the final of ILT20 2025-26.
