NEW DELHI: Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu won the toss and opted to field against India in the fifth and final women’s T20I at Trivandrum on Tuesday. India hold a dominant 4-0 lead and are aiming to complete a series whitewash.
India made two changes to their playing XI, with G Kamalini set to make her debut and Sneh Rana coming in, while Smriti Mandhana and Renuka Singh Thakur are resting.
India XI: Shafali Verma, G Kamalini, Harleen Deol, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Richa Ghosh (wk), Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Sneh Rana, Arundhati Reddy, N Shree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma
Sri Lanka also brought in two changes, recalling Inoka Ranaweera and Malki Madara in place of Malsha Shehani and Kawya Kavindi.

Speaking ahead of the match, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur highlighted the changes in the lineup. “Smriti and Renuka are resting. Kamalini is going to debut and Sneh Rana is back,” she said, adding that the team is keen to continue the momentum built in the series.
Chamari Athapaththu reflected on the tournament as a learning opportunity for her side. “These opportunities are really good for the youngsters. We learn from mistakes and take positive lessons from every game,” she said, also noting the inclusion of Inoka Ranaweera and Malki Madara in the playing XI.
