Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: India to face Pakistan on October 6

India will take on Pakistan on October 6 in Sylhet in the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh. The teams are divided into two groups of five each. Group A includes Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and QF1 while Group B has South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and QF2. The tournament gets underway on October 3 with England facing South Africa in the afternoon match which starts at 3:00 PM local time in Dhaka while hosts Bangladesh will be in action on the same day at the same venue in the evening game which begins at 19:00. They will take on the runners-up of the T20 World Cup Qualifiers which is currently underway in Abu Dhabi. Australia, the defending champions who have won the tournament a record six times, play their first game on October 4 in Sylhet, in the afternoon match against the winner of the Qualifiers, while India's first match of the competition will be against New Zealand on the same day at the same venue in the evening. A total of 10 teams will be part of the tournament - two teams to be decided through the Qualifiers - with 23 matches to be held in total. The top two sides from both groups will feature in the semifinals. Sylhet will host the first semifinal on October 17 while Dhaka will host the semifinal on October 18 as well as the final on October 20. The semifinals and the final will have reserve days. The official warmup matches will be held from September 27 to October 1, with the BKSP ground to host all practice games.
