Former India captain MS Dhoni joined Salman Khan in the latter’s birthday celebrations at the actor’s farmhouse in Panvel. The Bollywood actor, who turned 60 on December 27, hosted his family members, friends and some of the biggest stars from film industry.

Among the list of the guests, legendary cricketer Dhoni’s name was prominent. He graced the event alongside his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva. Salman’s fans gathered outside the farmhouse, with media going berserk after Dhoni arrived at the venue.

Salman and Dhoni posed for a photograph, which went viral on social media and it was shares by fans of both stars.

Meanwhile, Dhoni will represent the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League 2026. The veteran led the franchise to five IPL titles.

Dhoni to announce retirement in 2026?

Dhoni will play as a wicket-keeper batter under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad. He led the franchise in IPL 2025 after Gaikwad was injured.

However, CSK finished last in the points table for the first time in their history.

CSK have added Sanju Samson to the team after a successful player trade with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in exchange for all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. They also bought Kartik Sharma for INR 14.20 crore to strengthen their wicket-keeping department.

Former India player Robin Uthappa has said that Dhoni will definitely announce retirement retirement after IPL 2026 as the Men in Yellow are planning for the future. It remains to be seen if Dhoni will leave the field on a high in the upcoming season.
