This record is in the name of Shubman Gill with 1764 runs. This record came in his name for the second time. Earlier in 2023, 2154 runs were scored.
This year, Ravindra Jadeja was on top in Test, Axar Patel in ODI and Hardik Pandya in T20 International. The special thing is that since 2011, Ravindra Jadeja is the top all-rounder at the end of the year in some format or the other. For the fourth consecutive year he is the top all-rounder in Tests.
Among those who played at least 20 innings in one format, this record remained in the name of Abhishek Sharma in 2025. 27.5 percent of the runs that India scored in T20 International throughout the year came from the bat of Abhishek Sharma alone. This record was in the name of Shubman Gill. Gill scored 7 centuries. He missed out on equaling Virat Kohli’s 2023 record (8).
Shubman Gill is on top in India with 1764 runs and it is very possible that he will be the highest run scorer in the whole world this year. Shai Hope remained at 1760 and missed crossing Shubman but Joe Root can change this record in the Boxing Day Test. Before the start of the fourth Test of the Ashes, Root is on 1598 runs and will have to play a big innings.
