Delhi: In the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, Bihar captain Sakibul Ghani has performed such a feat, which has written a new history in Indian domestic cricket. Sakibul Ghani, during his explosive innings, broke the record of Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh, who had scored a century in 35 balls against Arunachal Pradesh last year. Sakibul broke this record three balls earlier and set a new record in Indian List-A cricket.
Bihar captain Sakibul faced 40 balls and scored unbeaten 128 runs. His innings included 10 fours and 12 sixes, while the strike rate was 320. Along with Ayush Loharuka, he also made a stormy partnership of 94 runs in just 30 balls.
Other batsmen from Bihar also performed brilliantly in this match. Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brilliant inning of 190 runs, while Ayush Loharuka scored 116 runs in 56 balls. Thanks to these strong innings, Bihar team scored a huge score of 574 runs for 6 wickets.
Sakibul Ghani’s talent was first recognized by Bihar’s under-23 coach and former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Ajay Ratra. Ratra saw him playing for the first time at Moin Ul Haq Stadium in Patna. After seeing consistent big scores in the local circuit, Ratra selected him in the Bihar team for the CK Nayudu Trophy. According to Ratra, Sakibul has the ability to bat at any position in the top-6.
Sakibul (Sakibul) Ghani, making his Ranji Trophy debut for Bihar in the year 2022, scored a triple century in his very first match. With this, he became the first player in the world to score a triple century in a debut match in first-class cricket.

In first-class cricket, Sakibul has scored 2,035 runs in 46 innings of 28 matches at an average of 47.32. During this period, he has scored 5 centuries and 8 half-centuries.
