Rajasthan Royals head into IPL 2026 with a significantly strengthened spin-bowling department after making targeted acquisitions at the Abu Dhabi mini-auction. With a mix of proven international performers and emerging domestic talent, RR’s spin attack is expected to play a crucial role as the franchise looks to bounce back from a ninth-place finish last season.
Ravi Bishnoi is the standout name in Rajasthan Royals’ spin unit. Signed for ₹7.20 crorethe leg-break bowler was RR’s marquee purchase at the auction. Bishnoi has represented India in 42 international matches since his debut in 2022 and was ranked the No.1 T20I bowler in the world in 2023. His IPL record of 72 wickets in 77 matches highlights his consistency and wicket-taking ability in the middle overs, making him the leader of RR’s spin attack.
Ravindra Jadeja adds immense value as an all-round spin option. The left-arm spinner brings experience, control and accuracy, particularly in pressure situations. Jadeja’s ability to restrict run flow while also contributing crucial wickets makes him a key pillar of the Royals’ bowling setup.
Vignesh Puthura left-arm wrist-spinner picked up at his base price, adds variety to RR’s spin arsenal. While still developing at the IPL level, his inclusion provides a different angle and wicket-taking option, especially on slower surfaces.
Riyan Parag offers part-time spin support alongside his batting duties. Though primarily a batter, Parag’s off-spin gives Rajasthan Royals additional flexibility in managing overs and match-ups during the middle phase of the innings.
With Ravi Bishnoi spearheading the attack and strong support from experienced all-rounders like Ravindra Jadeja, Rajasthan Royals enter IPL 2026 with a spin-bowling unit capable of controlling games and applying sustained pressure in the middle overs.
