The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have commenced their preparation for the IPL 2026 season as the franchise has decided to send 3 domestic bowlers to the SA20 team (Durban Super Giants) for training.
They will be tuning their skills with players of the Durban Super Giants, LSG’s partner franchise in the SA20. The SA20 2025-26 season is set to begin on December 26 and will be played until the end of January 25.
According to reports, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan and Naman Tiwari are set to fly to Durban next week. But, along with them, there are two players likely to join them.
LSG has already sought permission from the BCCI, which has been granted since none of them are featuring in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan are currently injured. Both underwent knee injuries in July and were ruled out for at least 6 months. Avesh Khan featured in 13 matches for LSG this year but hasn’t played since then.
Meanwhile, Mohsin Khan got his last game on December 31, 2024. Meanwhile, Naman hasn’t been picked by Uttar Pradesh in their Vijay Hazare Trophy squad and is yet to make his domestic debut.
The 20-year-old joined LSG during the IPL 2026 auction for INR 1 crore after Rajasthan Royals showed interest in the left-arm pacer.
The bowlers will be working under Lance Klusener, Tom Moody, Bharat Arun, and Carl Crowe in Durban.
However, it is uncertain whether Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, and Naman will be staying with the Durban Super Giants. Considering their first two gained fitness, they might be used to play in the second leg of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26, which begins on January 22.
