Delhi: Former Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Rashid Latif said that if India does not participate in the Champions Trophy 2025 to be hosted by Pakistan, then the International Cricket Council (ICC) will have to answer for it. Rashid warned that if India left the tournament, it would have to face consequences. Last year, India did not play in the Asia Cup hosted by Pakistan, where all the matches of Team India were also played in Sri Lanka. There are reports that India may demand similar matches in next year's ICC Champions Trophy.

55-year-old Rashid Latif said, “India can reject the series with Pakistan, but it is impossible not to participate in ICC matches. Pakistan played the World Cup hosted by India. In such a situation, India is certain to play Pakistan. If they leave the ICC tournament, they will have to face serious problems.”

There were reports that the venue of the tournament could be changed and there were talks of bringing a hybrid model for it. Meanwhile, if India participates, the matches will be held in Lahore. The matches were organized in Lahore with the idea that Indian fans could easily reach the matches through Wagah Border. Apart from this, the final match will also be held in Lahore.

Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy next year

For your information, let us tell you that this tournament will be organized in February next year. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has recently decided that all the matches of the Indian team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in the same stadium, i.e. Lahore.

Eight teams are going to participate in this upcoming major tournament of ICC, which is a 50 over Mahakumbh. At the same time, the schedule of Champions Trophy has not been decided yet, but it is expected to start in mid-February next year. The Pakistan Board has planned to organize the two-week long tournament in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi stadiums.
