IND vs SA 5th T20I Playing 11: Suryakumar Yadav-led India will square off against Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the 5th T20I match on December 19 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Suryakumar Yadav’s side secured a 2-1 lead in the T20I series of the South Africa tour of India 2025 with one match to go. The Men in Blues are aiming for a win to secure the series after the previous match was abandoned.

Meanwhile, Proteas men will be aiming to secure a draw with a win in the decider game. Both sides have met on 35 occasions, where India won on 20 occasions, while South Africa secured 13 wins.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking at the toss, Aiden Markram said, “We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks quite dewy, probably some dew later on, and the ball comes on better.”

“There’s everything to play for, focus is on the World Cup, and we have quite a few games here. Quite a few good signs with the ball in hand, looking to finish the tour on a positive note. Linde comes in for Nortje,” concluded Aiden Markram.

Meanwhile, India captain Suryakumar Yadav said, “We were looking to bat first. The wicket looks good, there won’t be dew, and we want to put the runs on the board. It almost feels full.

“Let’s see what we want from this game, yes, the series is on the line, but it is about expressing yourself and enjoying the game. Bumrah comes in for Harshit, Washi comes in for Kuldeep and Gill picked up a niggle in Lucknow, so Sanju comes in,” concluded Suryakumar Yadav.
