Thousands of spectators in the stadium waited for hours for the match to start, but visibility became so low that the umpires decided to cancel the match after several inspections.

This was India's first major international match, which was completely canceled due to fog. The cancellation of the match not only left the spectators disappointed, many also protested demanding the return of the ticket money. A video of a spectator is going viral, in which he said, “I bought the ticket by selling three sacks of wheat, return my money.” However, now there is relief news for the audience. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has announced to start the official process of refund for those who purchased tickets offline.
