Jharkhand cricket team captained by Ishan Kishan has become the new champion of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). In the final of SMAT, the biggest tournament of T20 format in Indian domestic cricket, Jharkhand defeated Haryana by 69 runs in a one-sided manner. With this, Jharkhand won the Mushtaq Ali Trophy title for the first time. The star of this victory was captain Ishaan himself, who scored a stormy century in the final and scored 101 runs, on the basis of which Jharkhand set a record score of 262 runs.

But Haryana could score only 193 runs in reply. Apart from Ishaan, Anukul Roy also played a big role in the victory by giving excellent all-round performance.

This final was played on Thursday 18 December at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Pune. Before this final, Jharkhand had won 9 out of the last 10 matches of the tournament. He won all these 9 matches consecutively. Its only defeat came before the final but by then the team had secured its place in the title match. In such a situation, he was considered a contender for victory in the final also. especially captain Ishaan His excellent form was a major reason for this.

Ishaan and his team maintained this dominance and expectations well in the final also and the captain himself started it. Despite opener Virat Singh being out in the very first over, Ishaan attacked and got good support from Kumar Kushagra. Together they made a stormy partnership of 177 runs for the second wicket. During this, Ishaan completed his century in 45 balls but Kushagra was out after scoring 81 runs. After them, Anukul Roy and Robin Minz together added 75 runs in just 32 balls and took the team to 262 runs.

Minz scored 31 runs in 14 balls and Roy scored 40 runs in 20 balls.

At the same time, Haryana lost 2 wickets including captain Ankit Kumar for just 1 run in the first over itself. Left arm pacer Vikas Kumar got this success. But the difference was that none of the three could convert their start into a big score. Left arm pacer Sushant Mishra also played a big role in this, who took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs.

But the biggest blow was given by Anukul Roy (2/42), who dismissed Dalal and Sindhu. Ultimately the entire team collapsed for 193 runs in 18.3 overs and Jharkhand won the title for the first time.
