Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerged as one of the most aggressive franchises at the IPL 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabisnapping up three of the six most expensive players sold on Tuesday and reshaping their squad for the upcoming season.

The three-time champions made headlines by spending a massive Rs 25.20 crore on Australian all-rounder Cameron Greenone of the biggest deals of the auction. KKR further strengthened their bowling attack by signing Sri Lankan pace sensation Matheesha Pathirana for Rs 18 croreaddressing their need for a reliable death-overs specialist.

After releasing Quinton de Kock, KKR also moved swiftly to rebuild their wicketkeeping department. The franchise brought in New Zealand duo Finn Allen and Tim Seifertalong with Tejasvi Singhensuring depth and flexibility behind the stumps.
