Delhi: During the launch of his autobiography The One: Cricket, My Life and More in New Delhi, Shikhar Dhawan was seen in exactly the style for which he is known. Smiling, talking openly and sharing life experiences. It did not seem like a formal event, rather like a light dressing room conversation.
Dhawan also spoke openly about Virat Kohli. He said, “I pray to God that Virat completes 100 centuries.” He praised Virat’s fitness, hard work and passion. According to him, how long a player’s career will last depends on how much hunger is left in him.
In his book, Mr. ICC not only mentioned the good things, but also shared a difficult memory of his career. He mentioned an incident during his tour to Australia, when he was seen in a hotel with his foreign friend. This matter reached the team management.
Dhawan told that after this his performance got affected and the pace of his career also slowed down. He clearly said that he was young at that time and his decisions had consequences. He presented it not as a controversy but as a lesson.
