3. Auqib Nabi
Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi, better known as Auqib Dar in domestic cricket, has been consistently impressive in the last few years. Originally dependent on swing, this bowler has added variety to his bowling in recent times. His accuracy and control, especially in the death overs, have made him a reliable option. His performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is a clear example of this change, where he took 15 wickets in seven matches and had an economy of less than eight. These figures show that he has worked hard on his fitness and skills. Auqib has previously worked as a net bowler with Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, which has given him experience of the IPL environment. In such a situation, he can be the target of many teams in the mini auction.
2. Prashant Veer
20-year-old left-arm spin all-rounder Prashant Veer has made his mark in a very short time. After playing for Noida Super Kings in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League, he has also caught everyone’s attention with his impressive performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season. His continued progress is being closely monitored by Chennai Super Kings as the franchise has been looking for a future replacement for Ravindra Jadeja for a long time. Prashant’s hard work can be gauged from the fact that he played six matches while traveling between Mumbai and Kolkata in just one week. During this, he scored 112 runs at a strike rate of 170 and also took nine wickets at an economy of 6.76. This performance shows that he is not going to be limited to just one team.
1. Ashok Sharma
Rajasthan fast bowler Ashok Sharma is known for his consistent pace of over 140 kmph. Irregularity was his weakness in the early stages of his career, but in the last two seasons he has worked significantly on his line-length and control. Now he has been able to bowl effectively from powerplay to death overs. Ashok was the leading wicket-taker in the group stage of the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He took 19 wickets in seven matches, his average was 12.10 and economy was 8.84. Although he has previously been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders and later Rajasthan Royals, he has not yet got a chance to play in the IPL. Looking at his form this time, it is expected that he may get a platform to prove himself in the 2026 season.
