Big Bash League 2025-26: In the second match of the Big Bash League 2025-26, there was a clash between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades in Geelong. With this match, Pakistan's star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi played his first BBL match for Brisbane Heat, but his debut was nothing special. Melbourne Renegades batted first and scored a strong score of 212 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs, during which Shaheen Shah Afridi gave away a lot of runs and was also stopped from bowling in the middle overs.
This match proved to be a nightmare for Shaheen Shah Afridi. He bowled only 2.4 overs in his spell and gave away 43 runs, that too without taking any wicket. His economy rate was above 16. The biggest problem came when the umpire stopped him from bowling further due to bowling two high full toss balls in his third over. According to the rules of cricket, a bowler is removed from the over if he bowls two dangerous high full tosses (beamers) in an over. Due to this rule, Shaheen was also removed from bowling in the middle over.

Shaheen Shah Afridi proved to be expensive in this match from the very beginning. He spent 9 runs in his very first over. After this, the second over was even more expensive and he gave away a total of 19 runs. But in the third over, he was a complete flop, he gave away 15 runs in just 4 balls, which included 3 no balls.
On the other hand, Big Bash League debut was nothing special for Mohammad Rizwan also. Mohammad Rizwan will play for Melbourne Renegades team in this match. But despite facing 10 balls, he could score only 4 runs. However, his team managed to score a big score. Melbourne Renegades scored 212 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In which Team Seifert's century inning of 102 runs was included.
