IPL 2024 SRH Vs RR Match Highlights : A very exciting match was played in Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) today Thursday (May 2). In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by one run.
In this match, Rajasthan needed 2 runs off the last ball to win. While fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was bowling the last over, Rovman Powell was on strike. Bhuvi bowled a yorker length ball to Powell, who was bowled out lbw on a big hit and the whole game turned around. In the last over, Rajasthan needed 13 runs to win.
Batting first in this match, Hyderabad scored 201 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs on the strength of Nitish Reddy's unbeaten 76 and Travis Head's 58. In reply, Rajasthan, recovering from a poor start, could only manage 200 for 7 in 20 overs thanks to Rian Parag's 77 and Yashasvi Jaiswal's 67.
Rajasthan Royals got off to a poor start in their pursuit of Hyderabad's target. The team lost the wickets of Jos Buttler and captain Sanju Samson by one run.
But after this a 133-run partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rian Parag brought Rajasthan closer to victory, but the team still failed to register a win.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 67 runs off 400 balls, in which he hit 7 fours and 2 sixes. Ryan Parag played a brilliant knock of 77 runs off 49 balls, in which he hit 8 fours and 4 sixes.
Despite losing 2 wickets early, Rajasthan Royals scored 60 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the Powerplay overs. The pair of Jaiswal and Rian Parag were the bowlers.
But in between, Jaiswal was dismissed for 67 off T Natarajan in the 14th over. But Parag was still standing at the crease. Rajasthan's score was 157 runs in 15 overs and the team needed 45 runs in the last 5 overs. Rian Parag was also dismissed in the 16th over, hence the match was lost.
After this, Rajasthan needed 20 runs in the last 2 overs and still had 5 wickets to spare. But only 7 runs came in the 19th over bowled by Pat Cummins.
In the end, Hyderabad needed 13 runs off the last 6 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly in the last over. 2 runs were needed off the last ball of this over. But Bhuvi took the wicket of Rovman Powell and won the match for Hyderabad.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the wickets of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in the first over to give SRH's Hyderabad a strong start. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets while Pat Cummins and T Natarajan took 2 wickets each. Marco Jansson conceded 44 runs not out and Jaydev Unadkat scored 23 runs in 2 overs. Excellent bowling by Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 19th and 20th overs gave Hyderabad a thrilling victory.
For Hyderabad, Nitish Reddy scored an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls with 3 fours and 8 sixes while Travis Head scored 58 runs off 44 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes.
Hyderabad lost 2 wickets for 35 runs. After this, Travis Head and Nitish Reddy shared a partnership of 96 runs off 57 balls.
Finally, Henrik Klaasen contributed an unbeaten 42 off 19 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes. Fast bowler Avesh Khan took 2 wickets from Rajasthan.
